Lot description: SYRTICA. Oea. Tiberius, 14-37. Dupondius (Bronze, 31 mm, 14.99 g, 3 h), 22-29 AD. TI CAESAR AVGVSTVS Bare head of Tiberius to left; to left, eagle with spread wings holding palm branch in its beak to right; to right, laurel branch. Rev. WY'T in punic Laureate and draped bust of Apollo to right with cithara to right; all within laurel wreath. RPC 832. SNG Copenhagen 31. Rare, and with a dark and glossy patina. Good very fine.
